Subsidized Lunch Program

  • Our subsidized lunch program fosters team communication.
  • Enjoy daily-changing lunch options for just 500 yen.
  • With a full-service espresso machine available in the office.

Commuting Options

Commute by public transportation (train or bus) or bring your own vehicle (car or motorcycle).

Commute Allowance

We provide commute allowance based on approved commute routes and methods, calculated according to company standards. Maximum allowance amounts are set by the company, with tax treatment handled appropriately in accordance with applicable tax laws.

Expressway tolls during commuting are covered by our reimbursement program. For motorcycle riders, only fuel costs are reimbursable (expressway tolls are not covered).

Parking Assistance Program for Young Engineers

For engineers under age 30, we provide a parking assistance allowance up to 50,000 yen per month based on actual costs.

As a full autonomous driving software developer, Turing requires employees—particularly junior developers—to gain regular hands-on driving experience. However, many younger employees face significant financial barriers to vehicle ownership, especially parking costs, which has resulted in low vehicle ownership rates among this group.

This program supports junior developers who demonstrate strong commitment to autonomous driving technology development by reducing the financial burden of vehicle ownership. By promoting vehicle acquisition and offsetting parking costs, we aim to boost motivation and improve driving skills among junior engineers, ultimately enhancing operational efficiency.

Turing Unlimited AI Program

All full-time employees have unlimited access to any AI service needed for their work at no personal cost. This company-wide initiative promotes AI adoption across all departments, driving productivity gains and business growth, while helping employees develop deeper understanding of emerging AI tools and industry trends through hands-on use.

PC Customization Program

Full-time engineers and researchers in our development division can select their own work PC specifications and operating system at the time of hire, with a budget guideline of approximately 400,000 yen.

Book Purchasing Program

All full-time and contract employees can purchase books related to development, daily work, professional development, and information gathering with company coverage. After purchasing, books are placed on the office bookshelf and shared with other team members.

All Hands Meeting Support

Monthly All Hands meetings share updates on company progress, fundraising developments, and each development team’s milestones. The company subsidizes lunch and dinner costs for team interactions and cross-team networking at these events.

Family Office Tours (Pilot Program)

As more employees balance work with family responsibilities, we periodically hold informal office tours for employees’ children and families to explore the workplace.

Rental Housing Assistance Program (Available April 2026 onwards)

Our partnership with a rental housing benefits provider offers qualifying full-time employees cost savings on rent. By subsidizing a portion of housing costs, we effectively increase take-home income.

Remote Work & Family Support Policies

Remote Work Policy

Turing operates on a primarily in-office basis. Since we develop software systems that control autonomous vehicles (hardware), we maintain a tight feedback loop: develop system → implement and test in vehicle → iterate development. This rapid cycle is central to how we work.

As a startup, speed is our greatest advantage. While remote work can be productive, establishing the infrastructure to support it requires significant time and resources. Given our limited window to innovate, in-office work remains our best approach.

That said, as more Turing employees balance work with childcare, we have built in flexibility for those who need remote work for family or health reasons. Some employees adjust their schedules for school drop-offs and pickups, or leave early using flextime.

Family Support Programs

Parental Leave

Both men and women have a 100% parental leave utilization rate at Turing. The period immediately following birth is an especially demanding time for both parents—and also a precious time to be present with a newborn. We actively encourage all employees to take parental leave.

Life Support Leave

A special paid leave program to support employees balancing work with personal circumstances—such as personal illness, or caring for family members. Five days of paid leave are granted at the time of hire, separate from annual paid leave. Leave can be taken in half-day increments, and is valid for one year from the date of grant.

Flextime

Core hours: 11:00–15:00. Standard working hours: 8 hours per day.

Reduced Working Hours

Available until your child completes the third grade of elementary school, enabling a longer, more flexible working arrangement. The default is a 6-hour workday; other arrangements can be discussed if needed. Salary is adjusted according to working hours.

Additional Childcare & Family Support

  • Childcare leave for the birth of a child (Postnatal Partner Leave)
  • Childcare leave benefits
  • Post-birth leave support benefits (employment insurance)
  • Childcare short-hours employment benefits (employment insurance)
  • Leave for maternal health management
  • Pre- and post-natal leave
  • Maternity benefits
  • Childbirth and childcare lump-sum allowance

A Message to Families and Partners

At Turing, we believe we are able to pursue full autonomous driving because of the understanding and support of our employees’ families.

For us to keep running—just as we have been running since our founding in 2021—the physical and mental health and happiness of our employees and their families is our foundation. That is why we will continue to invest as much as possible in creating an environment where our employees can fully dedicate themselves to autonomous driving development.

We also hope to grow our business so that we can give back to the families who support them.
