Selection Process
Standard Selection Process

The selection process can be flexibly adjusted based on each applicant’s circumstances.
Before formally applying, we can arrange casual interviews, office tours, Turing Meals (lunch or dinner with our team members), or Open Office visits. We are also happy to discuss expediting our process to align with your timeline at other companies.
*Estimated selection period: approximately 2–3 weeks.
Who You Will Meet at Each Stage
In the interviews (1–2 rounds), you will speak with team leaders and multiple engineer members.
During the trial work day, we arrange opportunities for you to meet various members you did not speak with during interviews—including team members from other groups, managers, and engineers from adjacent teams.
Technical Assessment
We use a coding test service called “Track Test,” which can be completed online from home.
Questions include quiz-style and implementation-style problems, ranging from system design and algorithms to actual frontend and backend implementation. (Problems vary by position applied for.)
Some questions take approximately 30 minutes, while others may take 60–120 minutes. You do not need to complete all questions in a single day—please take them at your convenience.
What We Focus on at Each Stage
At Turing, we use the “STAR” method as our interview technique for exploring past behavior.
What was the Situation? What was the Task? What Action did you take? What was the Result? By asking questions along these lines, we aim to properly understand your experience and skills.
The trial work day is designed to prevent mismatches on both sides. Given the ambitious mission of full autonomous driving, we believe it is crucial that applicants and their families reach a genuinely satisfying, wholehearted decision about joining. We sign an NDA beforehand and provide access to internal information—including Slack and Notion—that is only available to trial work day participants.
What We Expect from Applicants at Each Stage
We recommend preparing to discuss your actual experiences and episodes in the STAR format, as this will help communication flow smoothly on the day. Feel free to bring any materials or documentation that demonstrate your abilities.
During the trial work day, you will work on tasks prepared by the team you would be joining, and present your work. This gives both sides a clear picture of what working together would look like, and serves as an opportunity for you to confirm whether Turing is the right fit.
