01 · The Mission

Bringing traffic deaths — over 2,500 a year — closer to zero

In Japan, 2,547 people died in traffic accidents in 2025 (National Police Agency). Most accidents are attributed to human error — and autonomous driving is the technology taking on this challenge.

Turing’s AI learns to drive from professional drivers’ data. Every lane change, every turn, every bit of acceleration and braking you make becomes training data for the AI.

Why this work matters

Your driving doesn’t end with the day’s shift. The data you generate trains our AI models and shapes the driving quality of future autonomous vehicles. Here, your driving skill is reflected directly in the product.

02 · The Work

What you’ll do

Your main work is driving to collect training data for our autonomous-driving AI and conducting public-road test drives. Full-time, weekdays, on a 2-shift system: early (05:00–14:00) and late (13:00–22:00).

Collecting driving data on Tokyo public roads01

Collect driving data on public roads

Drive city streets and highways with exemplary technique. Lane-centered driving, smooth acceleration and braking, proper following distance — your job is to demonstrate Turing’s model driving on Tokyo’s roads.

Test-drive the autonomous AI02

Test-drive the autonomous AI

Drive on public roads in vehicles running our latest AI models. Spot the moments the AI misjudges and step in when needed. Your assessment and judgment make the AI safer.

A driver sharing notes with engineers03

Report on each drive

Share what you notice with the engineers. “The AI hesitated at this intersection” — one comment like that can drive a model improvement. You’ll work on the same floor as engineers and leadership.

04 · Backgrounds

We welcome diverse backgrounds

You don’t need to come from an automaker’s test-driving team. We’re hiring professionals from all kinds of backgrounds.

A

Driving instructors

You teach safe driving and stay calm in any traffic situation. Bring the “correct driving” you’ve taught thousands of people to teaching the AI.

B

Hire car / taxi drivers

You know complex city roads and have carried passengers smoothly. With hourly pay (not commission) and mostly day shifts, move to the side that builds autonomous driving.

C

Motorsport background

Understanding of vehicle limits, precise lines, split-second judgment. Translate the limit sense you honed on the circuit into the AI’s decision criteria.

D

Automaker test drivers

Quantitative evaluation of vehicle behavior and highly repeatable driving. A field where your OEM-honed ability to put “ride feel” into words becomes a teaching signal for E2E models.

E

Logistics / long-haul drivers

A record of sustained focus and safety management over long hours. Bring your stable highway driving to building AI training data — with a schedule that lets you go home every day.

F

ADAS / autonomous-driving experience

ADAS evaluation and Level 2+ test-driving experience. Someone who understands AI “behavior” and can judge when to intervene. Put the insight you built in evaluation to work in E2E autonomous-driving development.

These are just examples. If you’re confident in your driving skill and safety awareness, we welcome your application — whatever your background.

08 · FAQ

FAQ

Answers to the questions we’re asked most before applying.

QCan I apply with an AT-only license?
Yes — you can apply with an AT-only license. An MT license is welcome but not required.
QCan I apply without professional driving experience?
Yes. Professional driving experience isn’t required for either position (it’s preferred). If you have 5+ years of driving experience, no accidents or violations in the past 3 years, and can drive with precision, you’re welcome to apply.
QIs there any work besides driving?
There’s some light reporting and setup, but almost no work outside of driving. The main extras are joining the pre-drive briefing and reporting to your supervisor and engineers afterward.
QHow long is the contract?
Contracts renew every 3 months. For contract (full-time) employees, the term may change from 3 months to 1 year at the first renewal after joining. For contractors, it follows the individual agreement reached by both parties.
QWhat are the shifts like?
A 2-shift system: early (05:00–14:00) and late (13:00–22:00), with 8 working hours and a 1-hour break. Contract employees work 5 days/week (weekdays); fixed-term part-time / contractors work shift-based, 3+ days/week. Hours may change depending on the season.
QCan I commute by car or motorcycle? Is fuel covered?
Yes. The Tokyo HQ has on-site parking and welcomes car and motorcycle commuters. Fuel is reimbursed per company policy, and highway tolls during your commute are also covered (for motorcycle riders, only fuel is reimbursed; tolls are not). If you take the train, the office is a 7-minute walk from Ryutsu Center Station on the Tokyo Monorail.
